Installation
Insitu bases must be provided at
the sizes required for specific site ground conditions. These
should be finished to a tolerance of 20mm of the required
level.
The Poundfield L Blocs should be placed
onto the insitu bases using the L Bloc lifting bracket (each
unit weighs approx. 1.5T) Once lined and levelled the units
are to be fixed down to the base with 4No M20 stainless steel
resin anchors bolted through the preformed holes of the L
Blocs.
The Poundfield brickfaced panel can
now be positioned. These units weigh approx. 5.1T and must
only be lifted using the lifting anchors cast into the top
face. They are to be set onto the insitu base with metal shims
and high strength mortar beneath the bearing surface. The
wall is then fixed to the stabilising L Bloc using the cast-in
stainless steel channel and M20 stainless
steel bolts (4N0 per end) - a 5mm neoprene rubber strip is
placed between the 2 sections to ensure an equal bearing.
The wall is now stable and can be backfilled
- the first 300mm behind the wall must be free-draining granular
material . Vertical joints between panels are to be sealed
with a colour matched polysulphide sealant and backing rod.
Sealant may be omitted if required.
